Nic Kerdiles, NHL Player Dies in Motorcycle Crash

Nic Kerdiles, a former NHL player, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash in Nashville. 

The accident occurred at the intersection of 14th Avenue North and Wheless Street.

Kerdiles, aged 29, collided with an SUV after traveling through a stop sign. 

Both drivers involved in the crash showed no signs of impairment, and no charges are expected.

Despite being drafted by the Anaheim Ducks, Kerdiles only played three NHL games during his professional career. 

The Anaheim Ducks expressed their condolences and highlighted Kerdiles' historic role as the first Orange County native to play for the team. 

Kerdiles also appeared on reality TV shows like "Chrisley Knows Best" and "Growing Up Chrisley." 

He proposed to Savannah Chrisley on one of the episodes, though they later called off their engagement. 

In a 2022 episode, they attempted to rekindle their relationship, but Kerdiles acknowledged the challenges of transitioning from a hockey career. 

Motorcycle accidents have seen an 8% increase in fatalities in 2021, with motorcyclists accounting for 14% of all traffic deaths in the US.
